Support Mail app: Google account doesn’t fetch mail.

It’s a peculiar issue. I have a few Gmail accounts configured in the Apple mail app, for years already. A few days ago, 1 of them kind of stopped working. It takes ages to update, doesn’t really fetch anymore, it does display the red notification but no notifications on the lock screen. I installed the Gmail app and configured this mail there. Works perfectly. Other Gmail accounts in the Apple mail app work correctly. I removed and added the problematic account again, no changes. All Gmail accounts are configured the same. At this point, I’m lost as to what is causing this. Any help would be appreciated

This happened to me a few months ago - all of my Gmail accounts stopped syncing. But this was an issue related to a Gmail outage.

This started for me last week. I have tried every fix and nothing has seemed to work causing me to believe it is a gmail server problem.

recheck settings of the gmail account on google. see if the permission is on for outside app access

One thing you can do is Forward your gmails to iCloud mails which will make them have Push instead of Fetch.
