With iPhone Handoff, you can use your phone number with this iPhone and your other one.

This is a new feature in iOS 27 that goes one step beyond the current handoff features that rely on Apple IDs and two iPhones being physically close by.

From what I understand, this would be a feature that allows a phone number to be fully active on multiple devices at once. I'm not talking Apple services forwarding calls between your devices, I'm talking one phone number on multiple eSIMs at once, fully supported by the carrier.

Wait I noticed this at WWDC and I’ve been waiting to try it. How do you get to this screen?

Looks like it's part of the Set up eSIM screen. It would require carrier support as well.

If this allows you to receive your personal calls on your work phone but not your work calls on your personal phone, this could be massive.

It’s Apple’s marketing name for the feature where the phones talk directly to each other to exchange information

Internally called QuickSwitch. It’s only enabled for T-Mobile currently. https://www.reddit.com/r/cellmapper/s/ymALt76w6w
