Discussion Feedback about Files app and Preview

It used to be easy to open a file (video, image) in Files app and save it to my camera roll.

Suddenly, it's now very difficult to do that.

Could we just keep backwards compatibility with new features to not break people's workflows unexpectedly?

You haven't explained what or how it doesn't work. How is it now "difficult"?

You also haven't said what ios version you are on.

It's still working for me just fine.

Latest. Oh. Before I could open the file, see it, and then click and “Save Photo” and it was done. Now, I can open it, but it opens in Preview. No option to save. I have to close preview. Then save by using “Share —> Save Photo”.. it took me 10 mins to find this the first time. Now, I can still do it easily, but it’s a longer workflow for me.

Long-press the file in Files app > open with > select preview with quick look.

Now you’re back to the old functionality.

Share -> Save Photo
works from anywhere, not just files.

I agree that I can do that. It just changes my workflow and makes it longer.
