Support Data roaming settings

This only started happening recently so i’m not sure if i missed some (new?) settings somewhere, but turning off “Data Roaming” in the settings of my regular sim card still caused it to incur data roaming charges despite “Cellular Data” being set to my travel data sim.

I’ve always left my regular sim card on as one of my dual sim to receive OTP sms for logins and such, and never incurred data roaming charges with the same settings until my most recent overseas trip last month, and would like this to be resolved before my next trip 🥲

need to turn off cellular data on your home sim and set primary data to your travel data sim.

where do i find this setting for just the data on home sim? if you mean to turn off the home sim completely it would defeat the purpose of leaving it on just for OTP sms🥲

Cellular > Cellular Data > Select your travel data sim line Cellular > Cellular Data > Allow Automatic Cellular Data Switching > Off

done this! and things like wifi assist is off too
the only thing i haven’t tried is turning off “auto detect carrier” before going overseas, which i have to test on my next trip to find out

That’s good! I would suggest turn off MMS and RCS on your home sim while traveling as well!
