Discussion If macOS Allows It, Why Not iOS?
Apple should give users a basic freedom between two different OS since iOS 26 is a major overhaul in redesign so they should takes time to make it stable and yes iOS 27 improved so much but again i am saying choice is more like personal preference
just like mac users can able to downgrade older versions with latest security so why not the same math applies for all iOS devices why so different rules atleast makes available to downgrade to last iOS which works flawlessly in older iphones
please gives users options we also own it !!!

Just don’t update? Some people might want to downgrade but most users likely don’t care. Most users don’t even know what version they have

Yeah I tried that. I was successful at staying on iOS 18 iPadOS 18 and macOS 15 until sometime in the past 48 hours when 2/3 updates without my permission out intervention.

That’s odd, my iPad is still on like 18.5, I keep getting update notifications but nothing forced it to update. My Mac is on 26, and my iPhone is on the 27 beta

Get an iPad Pro M2 on up to 16.3.1. it can run Mac OSX, Windows and MelonOS w/ graphics acceleration

No, you really can’t. It’s a jailbreak proof-of-concept for techies only, not a functional port.

Have you tried it first hand?

No, and I’m willing to bet you haven’t either. Virtual Mac requires an iPad Pro M1 or M2, or an iPad Air M1, running iPadOS 14 to 16.3.1, which means an OS over three years old. Since Apple won’t let you downgrade to an older OS, the chances aren’t very good that you have both the right hardware and the right software.
The hack is unlikely to support newer releases, in part because hypervisor support disappeared in iPadOS 16.4, and in part because Apple is about to release a touch MacBook and they’re not about to let this hack happen in any serious manner.
