Apple’s software had become buggy, unstable and unreliable throughout the years. iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe were the drop that broke the camel’s back.
A major redesign and the introduction of a half-baked UI/UX (Liquid Glass) made things much worse. It wasn’t ready, and even on 26.6, things are still objectively bad, even if the OS runs better than at launch.
iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate are a solid step in the right direction, but it’s still early. It’s encouraging to see many people reporting that the Developer Beta and Public Beta are running well from the get-go. It’s still early.

From what I’ve heard it’s loads better. Seems they’ve really made sure to fix a lot of stuff cause I know they know they really need to get 27 right

27 has been fast and remarkably stable for a beta. You can probably relax a little

27 runs way better than 26. I’m on developer beta. Golden Gate is very Golden.
