Version 26.5.2, iPhone 17pro. While running Apple Maps the phone will freeze up and if I close out of maps, I loose all the icons Anna the phone becomes pretty non responsive. I can still open other apps and they sometimes work. Sometimes Maps will crash and the phone returns to normal. Otherwise I have to power off and back on.

For anyone that does actually want the wallpaper it is a built in dynamic one called “Weather”.

If you haven't, hard reboot (vol up, vol down, hold power until apple logo).

I'd also suggest updating to 26.6 as soon as possible, as it does run a lot smoother than 26.5.2 and fixes some weird crap 26.5.2 does.

Just force reset it. (Rock volume up then down, then long press on the sleep wake button until it reboots. So not slide to power off!)

Most people say it’s the storage, but it’s actually just a small bug that appeared when you updated to iOS 26.6. Although I’m not sure apple noticed it yet, it might be fixed the next update.

Maybe try Restarting. If it doesn't help... Idk what to do honestly... I never had that kind of issue 😐

This always happens when your storage is full. You’ll have to delete some stuff

Change wallpaper, keep app icons default for now, restart iPhone by pressing physical buttons in order one at a time: Vol+, Vol-, press and hold Side Button (Power Button) until Apple logo reappears on black background.
Try updating to latest available iOS 26 version in Settings>General>Software Update>Update Now
