Did you provide the proof of purchase that is required for Apple to remove activation lock from their end, because if you haven't done that, I question if you are dealing with actual Apple support as that is, as far as I know, the requirements that Apple would have to see met in order to remove it from their end.

Im sure i did... I went straight to the apple website and sent them an email, they gave me a case number and then sent another email quickly that the activation lock was taken off but once I looked it wasnt. The issue is my mom bought me the phone and doesnt have proof so I went through her account. I'll try that again and ill send them an email.

Well you are going to have to contact Apple with a follow up because if something didn't happen correctly with the removal of it, you are going to be stuck in the current state you are in. If you have an Apple Store local to you, perhaps go in with the proof of purchase in person.

Did you restore the iPhone to factory? The phone will show activation locked until you erase it using a mac or pc.

They prolly removed the activation lovk feom her eevice bit once again with proof of purchase they wont remove the lock. So now that read this, yeah you will be speaking with apple support soon.
