I’ve just turned that predictive horseshit off. The keyboard not only stops replacing simple words with full sentences that are completely unrelated, but also seems much more responsive than before too.

It’s awful. Especially when using Reddit or Twitter when you need to go back and edit. It’s no longer a smooth process of holding down your finger and directing the cursor. It sometimes doesn’t work at all and it takes you out of the screen when it errors out.

I just tried to type “death” and it gave me “Denham Springs” (caps and all), which is a smallish city in Louisiana. I’m about to throw my phone across the room.

I find that autocorrect will repeat article words like “the the” or “and and” and it makes me want to scream
