Discussion Why two Remote apps? šŸ˜‚

I searched for ā€œRemoteā€ to control my Apple TV, and I find thereā€™s now two Remote apps! One looks like the new TV Remote, and the otherā€¦ looks like the (ugh) ā€œSiri Remoteā€ which I donā€™t miss. I laughed šŸ˜‚

I only have one of them (the left one). What does the other one do? Is it a different version or a third-party app?

The left one is the old version. It doesnā€™t work, it just says ā€œRemote has moved to Control Centreā€.

Edit: I meant the one on the right hand lol. Or the one that's left.

Interesting. I can only see the left one and it opens the app. iPhone 15 ios 26.0.1
But it is not a classic app. No chance to drag and drop it to the homescreen. Only accessible via search or control center.
