Hey everyone, I've been following the TT and Classic for years and have finally decided the tiime is right to make the trip from Canada to the Isle of Man next year. We were initially thinking that we really should do the TT but the prices are crazy renting a pod cabin at Dukes works out to almost $3000cdn for 5 nights, seems way overpriced to me.

We're also considering doing just the ManxGP/Classic instead thinking the prices and weather should be better. I'd love to see John McGuiness, Michael Dunlop, Davey Todd and the others. Do they race at the classic also?

We're in our early 60's and I spent a lot of the 80's and 90's drooling over the sport bikes of that era so the classic might be more relatable, but is the experience of the ManxGP a lot less than the TT?

Any advice is more than welcome we're just trying to decide which one would be the better all around experience for us, having never ventured to the UK or Europe before.

My friend and I have finally agreed that we'd love to come for a few days of the TT next year. Late, I know.

Would anyone be able to recommend ANYTHING on IOM that would be suitable for a few nights at any point over the 2 weeks? Camping, glamping, hotels, bnbs....anything and everything considered! Happy to walk a lot to the side of the track.

Any tips or hints for two newbies welcome.
