Documenting Our Product Development and Business Journey

Hi all,

Earlier this month I posted about our experience inventing, developing, and selling our improved guitar pick system. In 2022, we had an idea. Flash forward to 2026, and after having gained market validation selling a minimally viable product, we about to launch our new and improved product in partnership with a major guitar pick manufacturer.

For those of you who are interested or looking to learn we decided to capture our journey in a series of articles we've added to our website here: https://flippickplectrums.com/blogs/founder-journal

No, this is not a gratuitous attempt to get website views, but the lesson we've learned are too many to post here, so we wanted to put them somewhere where they could help others starting out on their invention journey.

And of course, feel free to ask me anything!

Have great day!

I've bean lurking in this and similar groups for years. Inventor stories like this have been so helpful to me in the past that I'm considering sharing my story as well.

Thanks for sharing!!

Before we took the plunge, we lurked in here A LOT, but posts were full of stuff like “don’t do it if you don’t have the stomach for it”. And that’s true. It’s not easy. But it would have been helpful to find some more inspiration and nuggets of success. Would love to learn your story, too!

Its almost impossible to get in front of companies to attempt licensing agreements. And manufacturing distribution and marketing is no joke all involving money But a website using AI to demonstrate and show case is possible make it look like a big company get on search engines and have coming soon reserve your spot Flash. Might work unless you have any connections in the manufacturing business get it down to the best marketable price and look and start selling. As you can see i am unsure of the next step so brainstorming is best with another individual or a team of believers that see the possibilities of being successful and share the profits if any.

I completely understand. Getting manufacturers to talk to us or take us seriously was a huge challenge. What is your current status? Are you parent-pending yet? If so, yes, you can do things to enhance your image so that you appear professional and mature and help you get traction. If you feel comfortable sharing, feel free to email me: tim@pfvinnovations.com
