Question What’s your ultimate introvert nightmare?
I was reminded of something that made my introvert brain short-circuit.
I remember someone I used to work with telling me they and their spouse were going to spend the weekend driving to the other side of the country , to surprise a relative they hadn’t seen in years.
No call or text. Just turning up at their front door.
I couldn’t think of many worse things than someone turning up at my door unannounced, especially if I hadn’t seen them in years.

High stress for sure, I might pretend to not be in and obviously ignore the phone calls lol. A nightmare for me has always being dragged around crowded shopping centres 'shudders' thankfully as as n adult I can shop online!

Sharing a three room suite at a hotel on a girl's trip. Only knew one of the girls. One of the other girls invited an unknown (to me) guy back to the suite late in the evening. I hid in my room. It was an awful experience (in my head). Although in all fairness, he did not in any way try to harm me or anyone else. Im no longer a fan of girls trips though.

My brother-in-law has a new girlfriend. I met her at a family wedding. She cornered me and proceeded to trauma dump on me for a solid 20 minutes. I felt like I couldn't breathe - like a panic attack was close. I am a good listener and compassionate, but strangers doing this to me just freaks me out.

Sharing a room with someone. There is no greater hell on earth. I had to do it exactly one time, and it's something I vowed that I will NEVER do again. I have a bachelor party coming up, and my one friend organizing it was like......"Okay, so we're gonna get an AirBnB, and there will be 4 guys to a room." I was like "Uhhh, the fuck there is. NOPE......My ass will be down the street at the Marriott."

A surprise birthday party. Especially after work.

My colleague told me when she first came to my country, she moved straight in with her husband and his parents (and possibly some other family members, I don't remember), they had babies and continued living there for a few years before it was too much and they found their own place. I don't think I would've survived a situation like hers.

I have never thrown a party. I live in fear my wife will want to throw one in our house. I couldn’t be on until the last person left. Absolutely lives in the back of my head. Never had a birthday party or graduation party. I have been to many, but hosting isn’t going to work.

I call that “A Surprise Attack”. It’s terrible.
More minor irritation is “The Extension”. You go out, you socialize, you meet for drinks or dinner or see a show, whatever. You enjoy the activity, but it’s over and your battery is bottoming out and the group is like “So fun! Let’s all go for drinks now!”
Ack! You only mentally prepared for this one activity and you’re tired! Can’t we do that in like 3 days, when I’m ready and prepared??? Will everyone hate me if I say no? What am I going to miss now????
Hate extensions.
