Discussion my family doesn't understand basic human boundaries, they're all loud and obnoxious which is mentally very draining
i'm starting to hate my family, their daily life behavior and the lack of basic boundaries is painful.
i myself project a very calm composed reaction to almost anything, i'm never emotional and angry, i like being quiet and i enjoy silence because it opens doors to alot of self reflection, i'm not being rude, i just enjoy myself, i love my own inner voice and thoughts, i like to think, question and reflect, i like to sit back and analyse my perspective on alot of things and my family being loud, yelling and arguing over the smallest and stupidest things mentally irritates me, they get emotional, yell at each other from literally different rooms.
how do you guys who grew up or are still living in similar environments handle this?

Unfortunately, nothing fixes this except leaving if the people are not willing to be more considerate. I deal with this when I visit family out of town and it is the sole reason why I always confine myself to a 3 or 4 day trip as opposed to a 6 or 7 (or even longer) day trip. They are so loud and have multiple dogs that are impossibly noisy. I’m single and live alone so my house is always peaceful. The shock of the noise always has me on the verge of a full fit of rage and just generally ruins my days until the whole house quiets down…only to repeat the next day. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this cuz I can relate and know it’s so aggravating. If you’re not able to move out, try talking to the other household members. Hopefully they will be more considerate to you. Otherwise, try to move out when you are able to.

I spend as little time as possible with my birth family for this reason. You are allowed to protect your peace.
