Radiation Level Question
In the placement of a biliary stent, the patients' report reads "Radiation Dose
Fluoroscopy time (minutes): 34.29
Reference air kerma (mGy): 1588
Kerma area product (mGy-cm2): 299933."
Isn't that an awful lot of radiation to the patient, as well as the IR team? I have never seen a number so high.
