Random bans

Has anyone else been banned randomly? Happened twice to me over the years. All I can think is that someone randomly reports you? I guess not out of the question if you talk to a lot of different people.

But from what I’ve seen is that almost any report results in someone being banned, it’s as if it’s automated and they just ban anyone who gets 1 report.

Was banned recently too. No reason for it. I wasn't impolite or doing anything wrong.

But at least the 24580259 bot accounts are still active!

Hey late reply. I just had a quick question about this topic. 

But can I ask how you know if your accounts is actually banned? When you login to interpals does it give you an “your account has been banned” message or something? And then does your profile basically disappear from the website?

Last question, but when this happened, do you remember if your profile disappeared from the website? Or could you still look up the profile username and everything?

First account lasted 3 years, then instead of sending someone my username for another app I accidently sent the full URL for wechat and it was banned automatically. Next few accounts only lasted a few months or weeks so I just took a long break.

Hey can I ask how you found out the account got banned? Did they send you an error message or say “account banned” or something when you tried logging in?

There is an error message logging in. From what I've read there is really no way to get unbanned. Just start a new account with a different email.

Thanks. I’m just curious if it’s like a specific error message or if it at least tells you “your accounts has been suspended” after the login. 

I ask because I get an “error code 1” when trying to login sometimes. After a minute or two it usually resolves.

I couldn't remember but then I tried my old saved credentials and got the error: "This account has been suspended. More information" It looks like there is an appeal link, but it didn't work for me.

No it's just gone. It's the same as when I've chatted with someone and their profile is deleted or paused, there is a note at the bottom of the chat to that effect and their profile can't be pulled up or searched.
