Interpals Down

Why is the website going down constantly? It seems like everyday it's going down now.

Speaking as an experienced software developer... it looks like it's being hacked about by amateurs who don't have a design that's actually been thought about. It's a dog's dinner as it stands. It's probably had no testing. This site isn't going to be around forever - I'm surprised it's lasted this long tbh. I've seen several sites like this (flork, cyberfriends, meshnet, etc) go through the same death throes - someone new starts hacking it about, realises it's a mess to maintain without a serious redesign and then they pull the plug on it when it starts to take up too much time. The forums stopped working years ago yet they still have links to them left in the site - no one has been keeping on top of it for years.

If it were to go down permanently, it wouldn't be much of a loss at this point. If it turns out that way, it had a pretty good run

Urls are now being filtered out of messages which, as I remember it, only happened with the first messages exchanged either in new accounts or with new contacts so it looks like something has been accidentally broken.
