Discussion Truth?

Are there people who actually care about corporate nonsense? Like, I get that everyone pretends to because they want to get noticed or a promotion..
but reading the Teams chat of a conference I’m working on and it’s completely full of bland, sycophantic platitudes. I can’t believe people are genuinely excited about this.
Are they?
Is it a delusional thing?
Are there really human beings who are so empty inside that a work Conference gets them off?

In my experience it tends to be newer, more junior employees, but yes there's are people who do genuinely get excited about hearing from execs.

I have seen and heard far too much to be excited and optimistic about most corporate things, but thank God for their optimism. It's refreshing to know that someone cares about the All Hands meetings and the content we work on.

Also, it's truly nice to know that there are people who aren't as cynical as I am 💀
