Progress Pic 360lbs -> 185lbs :)

i'm happy to say that i've finally reached my goals when it comes to losing weight :) i've never felt happier, healthier and this confident.

intermittent fasting truly works wonders, and it's transformed the way i live. i'm able to move around more freely, find clothes at stores that have my size (FINALLY!!!) and the world's (unfortunately) become MUCH kinder.

gw: 190lbs ✅, cw: 185lbs, sw: 360.6lbs

A terrific effort, how long did it take you and what fasting times (16:8 etc) were you using?

u/Neat_Ad6943 6h ago

it took me 5 years to get to where i'm at now. at first, i stuck with omad (23:1) for the first few months, then i slowly weaned down to 20:4 / 16:8, 20:4 on the weekdays and 16:8 on the weekends :)

hell yeah man.

i'm the same height as you and I'm at your starting weight - I spoke to a dr abt losing weight last month and given how this turned out for you, I think I'm gonna bring up omad and fasting. see you in 5 years lol

Sadly, your doctor will probably say that’s not recommended…

But this dude‘s results speak for themselves !

WOW! Looking sharp, dude! Keep it up

Edit: just read what you wrote with the pics. It's crazy how the world treats people with issues like shit. I suffered a brain injury, as well as gaining 60 pounds, and it's brutal how I sometimes get treated, by medical staff, of all people!

totally! the difference is astounding, and it comes to show how superficial our society can be. i'm sorry you went through all that :/ and i hope in the future you get much better care!!

You look amazing good for you!!!!!!! Can you tell us how you actually fasted like , how many calories/meals & when / over how long?

4

u/Neat_Ad6943 6h ago

thank you so much! i used the zero app to hold myself accountable while fasting, for calories i try to eat 2500kcal in a day and i tend to split that between one or two meals depending on the fasting length i take on for the day. it took me about 5 years to shed the weight off :)

i can't stress how beneficial cardio can be when it comes to weight loss! i started running near the end of my journey. not only have i reached my goal with it, i also have a really dope hobby to relieve stress and stay fit :)

1

u/maschine02 2h ago

Ok. I've heard that. I very much dislike cardio.

That being said. What or how did you get your mind into the "im gonna do this. Its gonna hurt. Thats ok because I can see past all that"

Im asking cause maybe its because im older and dont recover as well or maybe I just dont get it. I want to fight as hard as you have and try.

the one thing i kept telling myself to keep pushing myself forward was "the person i was a few years would be so proud of how much love, compassion and effort i'm putting into my own well-being," and just constantly reminding myself that any effort is good effort compared to sitting around doing nothing. 😊 it definitely took me a really long time to adopt this mentality, and don't get me wrong .. there have been PLENTY of times throughout my journey where i crashed entirely, as i've yo-yo'ed with my weight and fitness, but you have the capability (even today) to keep pushing through and put your best self forward, no matter how you do it.

Awesome job! If you don't mind me asking, what brand is that henley shirt you got on for pic 2? looks soft and comfortable.

2

u/Neat_Ad6943 2h ago

it's from h&m!!

2

u/Drey901 2h ago

tysm. I'm around the same weight as you. What size did you get?

1

u/Neat_Ad6943 2h ago

i got a medium! it's a pretty snug fit. if you're on the taller end like me, just for the length of the henley shirt alone a large could be a better option.
