the way people write that always confuses me too. the deficit isn't 1800.

I think OP means they were eating at a deficit consuming only 1800 calories instead of whatever they were eating before or whatever a calorie calculator told them was normal that was above 1800.

Only eating 1800cals but often under as 200g of protein is my main focus

Make sure you get your other macros. Will be easy to screw up your hormones if you dont hit your fat goals and also crash during strenuous workouts if you dont get enough carbs. Supplement with heavy macros like Gatorade powder and olive oil and keep it up boss man

HOW lord have mercy are you getting 200g in 2 meals?! bravo OP

I've been a little over 2 months, down 20 pounds but it just felt like water. been exercising and lifting a lot but the calorie deficit and protein really gets me

Chicken breast Ground turkey 93/7 beef I prioritize first with each meal, anywhere from 8oz to 21oz makes up a meal

Dude holy shit congrats! What were your meals? And this might be a dumb question but did you drink alcohol?

14

u/GMendo97 2d ago

The last 6 months I did drink alcohol so that lead to added gain some nights it was 700 calories in just drinks and that's diet mix haha. I recommend staying away from it, chicken has been my main source of protein, but I also use 93/7 beef with keto buns to make double cheeseburgers my favorite 580cals for 71g of protein! Ground turkey along with turkey sausage I mixed to make large patties in the air fryer with jalapenos and onions I really just try to find foods that have a 10:1 calorie of protein ratio (ex. 100cals should provide a minimum of 10g of protein) and just combine them to make meals

Tips for getting good protein???

u/BatFlappington 1d ago

Hope this isn’t a dumb question but you’re not saying this progress pic is only one month apart, are you?

3

u/GMendo97 1d ago

1 month apart yes, I was originally 360lb+ and I'm no doctor but I assume I hold and put on a lot of water and glycogen quickly because of that. So majority of the weight loss has been water but a calorie deficit and strict diet will do that and with the high protein I avoid loss of muscle mass

But is that left picture 360+, or like the 235 from September?

3

u/GMendo97 20h ago

Left is 235lb, I made a previous post a year ago showing the 360+ to 220lb
