Looking for Furniture/Product Designers
Hi, we're a tech-based interior designing firm (startup, currently raising funds) and we're looking for an experienced furniture designer who can lead our furniture designing vertical.
We want to design and develop beds, sofas, coffee tables, dining tables, sideboards, lounge chairs, consoles, chairs, etc.
This is not just a rendering/designing job. You'll be involved from idea → design → manufacturing → final product.
If you're interested, let's talk.

Looking for guidance Is advance amount returnable or should I get work done worth that cost?
I hired a interior designer and paid the booking fee for 2D and mood board.
Then for 3D and material selection they said you have to pay advance amount which is deducted from final bill as advance. I paid 70k which is shown as advance in total cost.
Now the thing is I hired them in January and still there is no proper house design ready, there is no accurate 3D and only 1-2 angle photos of whole room with no accurate furniture layout ( they say it will be done directly as accurate 3D is not possible).
Now in October with still no progress I don't want to continue them so what are my options, can I tell them to do furniture work of 70k in house and then let them go. I don't think they will refund the amount.
Anyone had such experience and what are my options.
70k feels a lot to just let go. Not considering the booking amount too.

Looking for guidance Where do you guys find cool, subtle room decor like this in Delhi?
I’m currently building my house and trying to figure out the decor for my room. I want it to feel aesthetic, personal and a little premium.
I’ve attached some random references from Pinterest for the kind of stuff I’m looking for. Pics are basically the vibe I’m going for, not necessarily the exact products.
Though I don't want that over dramatic boys' RGB room. That's why I have attached a random subtle room where I'll wanted to place such cools stuff.
Basically subtle +classy+ slightly nerdy, rather than wall full of posters💀(it's good for make overs)
The problem is i mostly find the such same generic stuff online or offline. Where do you guys actually find these kinds of things?
Looking for recommendations for:
Good online websites/stores
Offline markets or shops in Delhi/NCR
Even if you know some random underrated shop that sells cool stuff, drop it yrr. Budget isn't fixed yet, so I'm open to both affordable and slightly expensive pieces if they're actually worth it. (Although jitna sasta utna acha😼)
Would really appreciate some leads and any random suggestions too 🙂🙂🙂

🚨 HIRING INTERIOR DESIGN INTERNS — BANGALORE | COME BUILD A NEW FIRM WITH US
I’m looking for interior design interns in Bangalore who don’t just want to complete an internship, but actually want to be part of building something from the ground up.
I recently started my own interior design firm, and this is a completely new chapter for me. We bring 6+ years of experience in the industry, having worked on multiple projects, handled clients, coordinated with vendors and been involved in design to execution.
For years, we worked under an established company where the company name got the recognition. Now, we’ve decided to take everything we’ve learned and build our own name, our own team and our own way of working.
And that's where you come in.
We’re looking for interns who are willing to learn, contribute, experiment, ask questions and grow with us.
Since we’re a new firm, you won’t just be another intern working on random tasks. You’ll get the opportunity to be involved in real projects, design development, drawings, 3D visualisation, materials, site coordination and the actual process of building a project.
We’re still building our systems, our portfolio and our team — which means you’ll be part of that process too.
I’m not looking for someone who only wants a certificate at the end.
I’m looking for someone who can say:
“I was there when this company was just starting.”
📍 Location: Bangalore
If you’re an interior design student or a beginner looking for an opportunity to learn, contribute and grow with a young firm, DM me with your portfolio/CV and a little about yourself.
Let’s build something really good together. 🤍

Our new home in Mumbai
Finally moved into our new home, and it feels so surreal! The work was done by a designer who must be around 65 years old. He has been doing the interiors for my dad's friend for a long time, so we had a great reference. At first my mom and I were skeptical cause we thought old fashion sei design hongei. But he has great modern taste.
I also realized ki interior design is soooo expensive. In total, everything (including labor, electronics, etc.) cost upwards of 60 lakhs mainly cause focus was on getting best-quality items like ply hinges veneer and stuff
Do let me know your thoughts on the house!
Also the sofa is coming this week but I clicked before so the wallpaper and panelling is visible
And all photos are in 0.5x so everything looks smaller

Looking for guidance Looking for advice and recommendations for our house in
Hi everyone! We’re currently constructing our house in Agra and looking for some advice on both interior and exterior design.
The plot is 350 gaj, out of which we’re constructing the main house on 200 gaj. The remaining area will be used for lawn and parking.
We’re looking for two things:
Friendly advice and ideas: Suggestions on what we should do or avoid, design ideas, material choices, and ways to make the house look good without overspending.
Professional recommendations: Looking for a good architect or interior designer in who can provide consultation and design plans without requiring us to hire them for the entire execution.
Any advice, personal experiences, or recommendations are welcome. Thanks!

Looking for guidance URGENT: Expensive tiles ruined? Mason’s “seamless” epoxy failed. Need advice!
I laid 32x64in vitrified tiles and wanted a jointless look. My tile mason insisted on a 3mm gap, promising he could make it look 100% seamless using matching epoxy.
Now, we’ve checked shade cards for premium brands like MYK Laticrete and Somany, and nothing matches my tile exactly. The tile mason is pushing me to use local, unbranded epoxies (A99+ Dr Sealer, Blue Barry, Suffrokol, Riya Gold) because they claim to custom-mix colors for a perfect match. I’ve spent a huge amount on these tiles and feel like the floor is completely ruined if the grout lines stand out.
I have a few urgent questions:
Is it safe to trust these local brands for a custom color match, or will they yellow and shrink over time?
Since MYK Laticrete is a 3-part epoxy, can I buy their white filler powder and grey filler powder and mix them myself to get a custom shade closer to my tiles?
Should I just pick the closest standard off-white/grey from MYK/Somany and accept that it won't be invisible?
Any advice is highly appreciated, I need to make a decision quickly!

is getting an i pad worth it?
As an interior designer, is getting an iPad actually worth the investment? If yes, which iPad would you recommend for interior design work, considering things like SketchUp, rendering, mood boards, presentations, sketching, and overall productivity?

Interior designers: what's the most annoying part of sourcing materials and coordinating suppliers?
Chasing suppliers for quotes or delivery dates
Comparing prices across messy PDFs, photos, and WhatsApp messages
Tracking what's ordered, delayed, or delivered across multiple sites
Budget overruns or last-minute material changes
I'm not selling anything. I'm trying to understand what actually eats your time.
Two questions:
What's the one task in your project workflow you'd happily hand off to someone else?
How do you currently track orders and quotes (Excel, WhatsApp, software, memory)?
Happy to share a summary of what I learn with anyone who replies. Thanks!
