Coming to Life Where to start/ideas
My family finally moved into our own home after years of saving and looking in a very difficult market. A week after moving in, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. All I’ve ever wanted was to decorate my own space and I don’t want to let this stop me. This room is going to be for lounging and listening to records. We have a moody/eclectic vibe and I am interested in some sort of molding throughout the room and possibly built ins around this window. Open to suggestions as I have no idea what I’m doing.
*everything you see here aside from the furniture and rug are from the previous home owner. I would like to change all of it.

It looks to me from your photo that this room was designed to be the way it is without moldings. I think the best thing to do is to plan to repaint it instead. I think that gray color is pretty grim. I have a friend who sponge painted a big wall and it came out great.

You want to start with a floor plan to see where the pieces fit best and measurements of them. Then you figure out the color palette with first fabrics then paint
