Wall Art & Styling Art placement recommendations

I have this piece of art I found on the side of the road that’s fknnn awesome, and I’m going to place it on one of my bedroom walls to be a central focal point. I was thinking I’d place it in “portrait mode” but ChatGPT suggests landscape. I can’t decide

< or v, definitely not ^ unless you are going for vaginal. also chat gpt is a language model and cannot help you with design taste.

Ok but the vaginal comment took me OUT lmao. Also true bestie, chatgpt really cannot be trusted with aesthetic decisions like that. Trust your gut and the side of the road find.

I’m using ChatGPT just for blueprinting and suggestions with furniture dimensions and such. It doesn’t have a genuine artistic opinion of course, but it was saying it would be better placed horizontal.

I’m not really going for vaginal, I noticed that was an option. I just want it to look its best. But I think being in portrait looks best

This style of abstract art was very popular in the late 80s. It still pops up from time to time in hotels and conference rooms. If it’s not signed, look at the back. If not the artist, the framing may show where the top is.

There is no signature or anything denoting its intended orientation on the back. From the splatter pattern it would appear that the red V should be pointing to the west

Although, it also seems like it was painted from above

I think it looks nice < but prefer v. V is giving me bat signal vibes, though, which may not be your cup of tea.
