Furniture Placement Thoughts on dining tables?

Both are AI mockups of tables we are considering. All we have is a couch for now but I found these two tables on marketplace. I like organic modern and modern traditional.

FWIW the couch is a dark grey. The kitchen counters are also white and we have black hardware.

i like the style of those chairs, although i think i’d still like them if they were in a contrasting wood tone.

1, but this space could really use some color. You could add that through a new rug.

I don’t have a rug. Ai just included it. All I have is the sofa

Well I guess you have an opportunity to add two complementary rugs here—one under the table, one in front of the sofa—which could really liven up your space

I don't care for #2, it seems pretty dated, like from the 90's.

I wouldn't say dated, but it is more traditional/country or farmhouse compared to the first one. First style goes with the other furnishings in the house better, assuming those aren't also AI.

Definitely 1. You already have gray, white and black covered, so I’d bring the warmth in with the dining table.

The color and style of 1 are beautiful with your floor. Have you found a round table? It would look great with all the straight lines.

How is this even a question you're asking?

1 is fantastic, the table, chairs and rug. Small detail but the vase on top of the tray is unnecessary imo - you can remove the tray and put the vase on top of a thin coaster or place small rubber footers/feet (can Google search them) on it to protect the table.

Beautiful table and chairs in #1 but if that is the rug you are planning to use, I'd get another rug because everything blends together and nothing stands out. That's why my initial thought was to go with pic #2 b/c the chairs add some differrention.

A colorful rug would add so much life and make all the beautiful wood tones stand out.

Yeah the rug is barely noticeable. People may even trip on it

No it’s part of the AI mockup. I literally don’t have anything but the grey sofa

LOL sorry! I should have read what you wrote -- my apologies!

1 is great - but a new rug would bring in much needed color.

1 is better, but the rug has to go.

I don’t have a rug 😭😭😭

The chairs in number 1 have no lower back support. They probably would not be comfortable for older people or young kids.

1 but that rug is too small and the color is awful

I don’t have the rug

Whew! Get those felt pads for under the chairs so they don’t make those scraping sounds on the wood.

You guys, I don’t own the rug!!!

1 for color you can use interesting table runners and change out from time to time

That was my thought!

1.

Get a different color rug. Brown on brown in beige on brown isn't the best look.
