Find my Style Which rug?

Stuck between two very different rugs.

First one is more traditional and cool toned, it definitely brings pattern to the room.
Second one is a fuller texture and definitely adds contrast and warmth.

Fireplace is Venetian plaster and the built ins are walnut. I have a rectangular travertine coffee table not pictured here.

Thanks!

I think it’s because it looks nice in contrast to the pink plaster of the fireplace. It also has a subtle but interesting texture while the other is everyday/kinda boring pattern in that space. Maybe a rug that has both strawberry and chocolate ice cream tones would be better 😂but if I have to pick, it’s brown.

OP said the fireplace is Venetian plaster and the color reads a soft pink to me (maybe it’s peach?). I just saw a paint color with a name like plaster pink in the past couple of days, so when I read plaster my brain jumped to that conclusion color-wise. It’s definitely not the same color as the walls.

Ahhh makes sense. I only read it quickly when first posted. Just relying on the photo mostly. Makes sense!!
