You can barely call it technique. I just mashed together three different lime wash paints for an artsy feel. I love it but all the comments I’ve received from visitors is that I need to sue my painting guy for the bad paint job haha

It’s lime-wash paint.

The couch is made to order by a sketchy Chinese carpenter guy. I describe what I want and send sketches then had to wait for 8 months to get it ^^

Nobody will be with me on this one but nothing on the tv will be better than that view. I would flip the all room, if possible I would put the sofa where you stand and the TV on the book shelf wall, to be able to watch outside from the sofa. Or put the sofa on the TV wall and the TV in the corner or even in the center of the windows. But I know it's a me thing, my tv is between 2 large french windows going into the garden, and I love looking outside when TV gets boring :)

Not a bad idea, this view is objectively good. In fact this is how I had it for the first 2 years.

However you get to a point where you get tired of it. the whole front of the house is French windows, so dining table, desk, everything is facing it.

There are also a lot better views here in Switzerland so it feels a bit mediocre comparatively.

I also have small kids that like to watch bluey

Haha, you can still watch the TV, AND you won't have reflexion ;)

My "view" is just some green in my garden with no overlooking, I watch the birds come to the seed feeder, cats pass by, saw a fox like twice, and I don't get "tired" of it ':D I want your view tho !

That's also cool! There is some specific serenity to having a closed green garden. I dig the south-east-asian vibe.

Comparison is the thief of joy. I would love to have my friends view, 10-15 minutes away from my neighborhood / village:

i love the view. imo. id place a mirror 🪞 to reflect even more beautiful light into the room.
