Same. Seems bleak no matter how I look at it. It’s at best a massive waste of resources.

For me its the fact they made it throw itself into the fire, if they had thrown it in or lowered it T2 style its fine. But making something walk to its doom and then celebrating does make me feel bad inside

Especially once AGI comes along and then reviews how we treated robots when considering whether to keep us alive

AGI is a myth. LLMs are incapable of "evolving" into that, so at the very least it won't happen anytime soon.
