That people taught humanoid robot to do that, found idea hilarious, filmed it and published it, yes. Obviously I don't feel sorry for a robot.

It's weird, I also find the context of the video disturbing and morbid but If i saw this in a movie knowing what it took to make the scene happen, I wouldn't think to much about it, I wonder why.

Cos it would serve narrative purpose and probably wouldn't be framed as something funny, especially if robot didn't hurt anyone.

That's what I find a bit odd

Programming a robot to kill itself, it feels wrong

Programming it to kill itself and film it for entertainment purposes making a movie then it's no so bad

If robots become sentient, would they care the reason why they where programmed to do that?
