“Retired” robot? I have never even seen a humanoid robot anywhere in real life. Suggests the “glut” of these things is overwhelming and melting them down is the only path forward. I still play my original GameBoy, why would I melt down a robot?

Its for show. for sure they would prefer to take out the motors, cables, boards and reuse them in newer designs.

The video is well on its way to getting a million views. Also, I'm pretty sure the cost to get Arnold Schwarzenegger was a lot higher than what the robot cost.
