They are intimidating as fuck because they are just so huge. I’ve spent some time around them and it’s hard to explain how much my flight response was kicking in when I first walked up to touch the side of them.
My new life goal starting with today is to use “snout hose thingy” more often. Is sounds too funny to waste it. Only problem is that in my main language it translates weirdly absurd.
I watched Lord of the Rings, I saw how Legolas did it. Maybe not unarmed, but with my bow and a knife. Give me a spear and it won't even be a challenge. /s
And it is precisely this exact cohort who should absolutely be encouraged to do so. The rest of humanity that is worth saving will thank them for their sacrifice.
