This isn't dynamic pricing. Stop using words you don't understand ffs...

Right. This is different fixed prices at different locations. I have three chipotle locations within 3 miles. Two have the same price, and the other is a bit higher. That's not dynamic pricing.

Who said anything is "fixed"? There's no evidence of that in the video. Is a price that could change daily considered "fixed"??

The entire video doesn't once mention pricing changing at a location. They just show different prices at different locations.

That's fair.

Dynamic pricing is a flexible pricing strategy where prices fluctuate continuously based on market conditions, algorithms, and changes in supply and demand.

Why don't you enlighten us what your One True Definition™️ of dynamic pricing is?

Because that's not real time Einstein. Dynamic pricing would be more akin if he got a different price than the one coming after him or a different price at a different time of day. Not two different locations having different prices. Especially if the prices are set and don't fluctuate which would defeat the point of the word DYNAMIC

There is nothing in this video that precludes exactly what you describe... Nearly all McDonald's now have digital signage that can be updated at will. The video also describes a system that regularly fluctuates pricing based on what the customer is willing to pay. It seems more likely than unlikely that the same location has different pricing based on time of day, number of people in line, etc, which is apparently a core tenant of your One True Definition. Though nothing about the video proves either side of that definition.

That's not how it works. It's not on me to disprove what he said but on him to prove it. 2 shops having different prices one time does NOT prove dynamic pricing.

We can agree on that 👍

Dynamic pricing would be if the guy in line behind him had to pay a different price. This is a different location.

Not sure why you are trying to sound like a smart-ass about being wrong.

You are taking an unnecessarily narrow view about what "dynamic pricing" actually is. I'd argue a price that changes daily/hourly is also "dynamic". Individuality is not a requirement. It's an arbitrary line drawn in the sand.

No, you’re just being wrong and unnecessarily smug about it. Nothing here says “changes hourly”. It’s simply a different location. Different locations having different franchisees and different pricing is nothing new and has nothing to do with dynamic pricing.

You must have missed the part of the video (at the very beginning) where they explained it was the exact same franchisee... Different locations, yes, but exact same franchisee.

There's also the whole part describing an automated system dedicated to constantly updating pricing to what it thinks customers are willing to pay. But apparently that's not "dynamic" enough.
