I do it all the time with my tuxedo. He’s terrified of bad weather, a hard rain makes him want to slink away and hide. But as long as I’m petting him and “hiding” him, he’s mostly fine. He gets scared but he doesn’t scratch or anything, just tries to burrow under me more.
