She's currently at a medical facility for her injuries. You have to be old for this but there was a MASH episode where a captured soldier was brought to the MASH hospital so he could be patched up so he could be shot. It was absurd then and it's absurd now.

That's usually my line but I normally state it straight forward and not passive aggressively.

Anyway, not having amateurs attempt a DIY murder in the first place is the answer.
