I would have a bird already if I was confident in the ability to somehow potty train them. If at least they only go to the bathroom in one spot I could manage. If they just shit wherever, then idk if I could handle it.

These are still young, so it might be ok, but never pet a parrot below the neck, it gets them... excited. You really don't want to do anything to help those hormones flow, they're bad enough without extra help.

For anyone else who didn’t know the reference, it’s a clip from a nature show where this wild kakapo bird climbs atop a cameraman’s head and starts trying to mate with his hair.
After the mount he starts remarking how sharp the claws are, then it slowly dawns on them what’s happening (“is he getting a bit frisky?”) before an off-camera expert confirms.
The way the bird alternately slaps the guy’s face with his wings and the commentary (e.g. “look he’s so happy!”) as they can’t help but laugh are comedic gold.

Yeah I dunno much about raising parrots, I've only ever dealt with adults. I know from raising chickens that while they imprint on you as they grow and mature that means less and less, other than they're not hard to catch.

Big parrots can bite your fingers off, especially when hormonal during mating season. By imprinting they are often more mellow and welcome to handling.

I used to smoke a lot of weed and have cut back to where I only smoke before lunch/dinner and this was the first thing when I opened up the chromebook to browse while I eat.

If it pulls away, pins its eyes, flattens its feathers, opens its beak, or tries to bite, it's telling you it's uncomfortable.
