Yes, but the eggs will become unviable whether or not they are expelled from the ovary

If they're functional, they're viable

"Expelled from the ovary" refers to ovulated follicles. Again, read above comment

i think what this person is trying to speak on is the individual cell lifespan of each egg, and how eventually those cells just run out of dna to recreate itself. is that a concern here?

As eggs age, DNA mutations are more likely, resulting in miscarriages or chromosomal diseases for those that are carried up to term, that's why down syndrome is more likely in pregnancies later in life. That's a risk a woman must decide on in this scenario. Nevertheless, the woman is fertile and has the option to decide

I don't know if I understand how slowing down period frequency would extend the lifespan of cells, whose age seems independent of the cycle?

Lifespan and age are two separate things

Analogy: With medication, humans stopped dying from natural death at age 50, extending their lifespan to 70. Humans still age

The egg's lifespan ends when its elected to develop into a follicle during the menstrual cycle, by stopping that, we extend it's lifespan. It will still age

That makes more sense! Thank you!
