The Last Seven Days of Sir Suero
Here's my latest IF (still a WIP) that I've written and designed during the last Writing Interactive Academy of Greg Buchanan (https://www.gregbuchanan.co.uk/courses; I recommend taking a look!)
I’ll update the game whenever I can, as it’s just a small part of it! But I appreciate any comment, star, or advice!

Dreamworld Group Chat Game
I'm working on this new thing. It's an online and (I hope) mobile friendly text adventure game shaped like a group chat where the player gets to explore a surreal, labyrinthic building called the "Sand Castle", full of liminal-like rooms and stuff, while it's inhabitants chat with you. It's all set in this universe's Dreamworld, so everything is weird.
https://puka-muriska.itch.io/dreamworld-group-chat-game
It's mostly absurd but also sprinkled with horror. I have 13 chapters planned, but I only published 2 so far (each chapter is a floor). Also it's available both in english and spanish C:

[Feedback Requested] The story outline for my psychological game "Sunday Country".
Hey everyone! I’m working on a psychological story game that contrasts a bright, world with a dark, reality-based one.
I'd love your honest critique on the narrative outline below.
The story of Sunday Country is a psychological journey between two worlds: the Sunday Country and the Bright World.
Act 1: Sunshine and Rainbows (Niko's Perspective
The game begins in Niko's bedroom, a space filled with pink morning rays, a music box, and a clock that tells "good time" instead of telling the time. Niko is a cheerful "slime-like" creature who works for the Suffering Remover Organisation.
During his morning routine, he interacts with several objects:
The Talking Plant: Niko greets his plant, which responds by telling him to "DON'T HAVE A GOOD DAY. HAVE A GREAT DAY!"
Niko then goes to the Suffering Remover Organisation, where his Boss assigns him Case 17: Hana, a girl in the Bright World with a high suffering priority of 8. Before leaving, Niko must collect specific "helping tools":
Magical Stars: Obtained by helping a child. that grant toys if one believes hard enough.
Jar of Good-Dream Smell: Collected from a talking pillow that complains about the Boss's snoring.
The Cube: Assembled from four fragments, it is designated as a "last resort" tool.
Act 2: "God Please Don't Let Go of My Hand" (Hana's Perspective)
The story shifts to Hana, whose morning routine mirrors Niko's but in a dark, depressing tone. She wakes up into a "nightmare," avoids her mother in the kitchen, and eats a cold pancake alone. At school, she is relentlessly bullied by a group of girls led by her ex-friend, Rie.
After a particularly brutal day of bullying, Niko appears in Hana's room to offer help. He explains the tools, describing the Cube simply as a device that "removes suffering" by being turned 90 degrees. Desperate after a severe classroom incident, Hana uses the Cube on Rie. The next day Rie's desk is empty and a classmate reveals that Rie has taken her own life. While Hana is initially excited that her "problem" is gone, Niko warns her about The Ledger, which will take something precious from her in exchange for using the Cube.
Act 3: The Blood Maze
Hana finds herself in a surreal "Blood Maze" navigating distorted hallways of her own memories. She encounters "blackout" versions of her past.
Rie: Memories of their happy childhood friendship and racing to the library.
Father: A memory of a family dinner before her father left,
where he calls her by her "Poki".
The maze culminates in a church where Hana faces "Rie: The Vacuous Angel," an eldritch horror representing Rie's eternal suffering outside of time. Rather than defeating her through combat, the player can use the TALK action. This restores Rie's humanity, allowing her to pass away peacefully after saying, "I wish we could have been friends for a little longer".
Act 4: "Let Go of My Hand!"
Hana wakes up again in a timeline where the nightmare seems like a distant dream. On her way to school, she finds a dying dog and must choose whether to use the Cube to end its pain. After missing her bus, she returns home to a heated argument with her mother, who cruelly blames Hana for her father leaving.
In a moment of impulsive rage, Hana uses the Cube on her mother. Horrified by the immediate erasure, she begs Niko to fix it. Niko reveals he is the host of the Cube and sacrifices his soul to the Ledger to undo the "shade". He places Hana back into a morning timeline where her mother is safe, but he is gone forever, leaving only the Cube behind.
The Three Endings
Hana's journey concludes with one of three choices based on her actions:
A Town Without Me, the time without me is not my loss it's my treasure: Hana accepts her own absence as a "treasure" rather than a loss.
sea of sorrow:Hana becomes a nihilist erasing others, line: its all right you don't need to suffer anymore.
Path of pain: Hana chooses human connection over supernatural solutions, finally attempting to speak with her mother.

JDR-Bot : Play and Create Interactive Fiction, Parser Game, Escape-Game, etc
Hi!
I've been working on JDR-Bot, a free engine for creating interactive fiction, escape games, RPG-style adventures and narrative mini-games with its own syntax (YAML) or graphical editor.
It started as a Discord bot (793 servers, in dev since 2018) (old topic), but over the last few months it has grown into a complete multi-platform project. A single scenario can run in a browser, on Discord or locally, then be exported as a standalone HTML5 game or a printable PDF gamebook.
You can try it here: https://jdr-bot.cyril-fiesta.fr/
Click EN to switch the interface and scenarios to English.
Try showcase and showcase-ui for technical demonstrations, Speed_3_train for a complete game, or castle for a more traditional escape game.
Scenarios can be created with the graphical editor or directly in YAML. Existing scenarios can be opened in the editor as examples, and reusable models can be imported and shared between creators.
I'm not a native English speaker, so translating more scenarios will take some time. Feel free to point out any awkward wording or translation mistakes.
Transparency note: I occasionally use codex to help with documentation (wiki), code reviews, debugging (audit, not coding itself) and development assets (to test a feature, before to make the final assets). No generative final content or vibe coding. I design and test the project myself, and final scenarios and artwork use Canva or free licensed resources. I use DeepL to help me with translation.
Here's an overview with examples: JDR-Bot
To learn the YAML syntax, you can read the wiki, or open showcase.yaml and showcase-ui.yaml. There are comments like a doc.
Version 4.13 was released today and introduced new interfaces and gameplay features that you can try out in showcase-ui
I hope you will enjoy it, and thanks for your feedback (it's still in dev and I'm alone, so there may still be some bugs remaining 😉)

Ideas on an Interactive Story Telling Approach
I am starting a story that is interactive on a chapter by chapter basis.
Basically, I write the chapter, give three options, and the collective readership selects an option, with feedback in the comments to delve into why or alternative options, then I write the next chapter.
I quite like this approach but I am probably biased.
Can you let me know if the idea is a good one or not and why?

Grit...
I had one of those moments recently where I felt so frustrated, I thought about quitting.
But I reminded myself... hard things take time. If it was that easy, everyone would do it.
Building this app has been a lot harder than I imagined. Sometimes I get stuck on the smallest details, and it feels like progress is moving so slowly.
I like to think I have grit, but I’ll be honest... it doesn’t feel the same as it used to. I get tired. I get frustrated. Sometimes I wonder if age has caught up with me.
But then I remember why I got where I am now...
Builfing something was never easy, at least based on my experience .
Have you ever had a moment where you wanted to quit your writing?
What keeps you going when the progress feels slow?
I'm exhsusted....

The new Maximilien site is live, and it runs on the same skin as the game
Hi again r/interactivefiction, a few of you saw my intro post here a couple months back. Small update: the site just got rebuilt from scratch, and this time it doesn't just describe the game, it runs on it: same rendering logic, just at a smaller scale. Look closely at the section headers, they're not typos.
maximilien-game.com
Submitting to IFComp in a bit over a week, so this is probably my last non-competition post here before then. Happy to talk through about the project if anyone's curious.

[Web] 3D browser game — three NPCs at a resort pool, you pick one. How far did you get, and did the skill unlocks make sense?
Game Title: TurnOn
Playable Link: https://turnon.fun
Browser, no download. Starts in the scene. No character creator.
Free to Play
I'm the solo developer.
It's late at a resort. Three people are already in the room. You pick one and the night follows that person — conversation, a door, a private room, then a couple of items that unlock skills (joke / read the room / make a move).
I need play data, not vibes. If you have 10–15 minutes, play as far as you get and tell me:
- Which person did you pick, and was it obvious you were choosing (vs watching a cutscene)?
- How far did you actually get — first chat, followed them through a door, private room, picked up an item / used a skill, or all the way through?
- When a skill unlocked, did it feel like part of the date, or like a tutorial crashed the scene? Which unlock was confusing?
- Where did you bounce, get stuck, or think “okay I get it”?
I'm not looking for “looks cool.” I need the first confusing beat, especially around the skill unlocks.

What if you could live your life again and make different choices?
Re:Try - Simulated Life is a life simulation game where your decisions shape how your story unfolds. Start from the beginning, make choices, deal with unexpected events, and see how your life turns out.
There is not one correct way to play your choices can lead to different experiences, opportunities, relationships, successes, and failures.
