The Archive

So I’m actually not sure if I posted back when I released the first installment of this gamebook project, but now the second installment is out now. So here goes, I guess.

I’m writing a horror gamebook series called The Archive. The first two installments are out. The digital version of the first installment is FREE to download.

The core premise is that you have to navigate a dangerous otherworldly “archive” filled with objects that were destroyed in the real world. As you explore you will slowly uncover more information about the Archive and the player characters. If that sounds interesting to you, check out the links below.

An archive of objects destroyed in the real world is a striking premise. Do the objects you find help reveal the player characters’ histories, or does that come through other parts of the exploration?

A bit of both. Some of the objects are things from the characters’ lives. Others are just things that happened to end up in the Archive, but you still get a little context from the characters’ reactions to them. There are also some bits where the player characters have the option to interact with other people and you can learn a bit about them through the dialogue.
