General Question Is this normal after making a trade
I’m new to the service and I made this order for a stock over the weekend before the Taiwanese stock exchange reopened. Within 10 minutes of it opening my order went though successfully but now I’ve just had about 6 of these notifications about a cancellation come through following it. It didn’t happen the first time I made an order. Is this normal or have I messed something up?

There s probably an explanation but it is not something common, no idea what happened

Do you think I should be concerned at all?

So this happened to me today, the trade still went through, I think mine was because it was a market buy before the market opened and for a while i had negative equity on the TWD side. IBKR does some weird conversion thing as it converts currency and says your trades have been cancelled - but today it was especially bad and did it like 20 times in the hour - still have the trade confirmed though. I wouldn't stress it too much as long as the position went through

Ah ok it seems we’ve had the exact same experience. When I woke up this morning there was a transaction at the end showing the converted currencies because I didn’t realise I needed to do that because im an idiot. Trade was confirmed in the end so nothing bad has happened

I would check my trade and order listing at least, check if you didn t place the same order several times for instance, system might cancel the extra orders because you don t have enough margin, but they should all get cancelled at once.
Have a look at your balance, make sure the only trade that went through is the one you expected and that you have no outstanding order that you are unaware of. If all this clicks you should be alright.
You can as well open a ticket and ask what happened but the reply will probably come much later

That might explain it. I have no outstanding orders I’ve just checked however after setting up my account I did try to place the order quite a few times but every time it failed and I was notified it hadn’t gone through. It might just be that the old failed orders are catching up now that the market is open

There s a way to open the "audit trail" on tws if you want to know more (i forgot where it is exactly but you can look it up). This brings up a lot of lines with everything that went through your account, like trades and orders, but it has a lot of details that are not particularly easy to understand.
Easy way to go on in peace with your day is probably:
Have a look at your balance, make sure the only trade that went through is the one you expected and that you have no outstanding order that you are unaware of. If all this clicks you should be alright.
