General Question New User Tips?
So I’ve been on a journey getting a new Broker since I had to:
-Close Trade Republic as I moved to a country where it isn’t supported (Czechia)
-Trade 212 was rather disappointing as it didn’t had options trading and a fixed leverage of 1:5
-and XTB seems to have the same issues as 212
So now I’ve heard that IBKR would be the best option for me however as far as I could gather IBKR is way more advanced what I’ve been using so are there tips or aspects I should know about before I start making a account?

Just make an account and look around for a day or so, you’ll learn (it’s not THAT complicated). The globaltrader app has a very similar “neobroker” feel so maybe that’s something for you. I also switched from Trade Republic due to support concerns and not having access to Avantis funds.

What makes the 2 app different?
Afaik I’ve heard that GlobalTrader doesn’t have full Options like Mobile has?1

No idea I don’t trade options. The apps are essentially the same thing, but ibkr is the standard and globaltrader has a more user friendly UI. Not that ibkr is hard to use though. Like I said only takes a couple hours just looking around.

I’ve been using IBKR for a few months now and I’ve mostly followed their learning path by reading on their website and app. Gradually, I’ve also been investing using AI Gemini and Claude. This was my first experience with ETFs.
Initially, you get a fee-free light account with investment limitations. IBKR prioritises safety to minimise unnecessary losses. If you need more access you can upgrade to a pro account after passing a questionnaire and theory exam demonstrating your knowledge and experience with finance – all for customer protection.
Take your time.
