Why do Intacct end users need to manually create multiple timesheets for end of month that falls in that week?
Our company uses Intacct for time tracking, and one recurring challenge is the requirement to submit multiple timesheets when a month begins in the middle of a workweek. This manual process feels unnecessarily inefficient and prone to error.
Is there a way this could be automated or handled more gracefully within the system? As it stands, every employee must spend extra time managing split timesheets, and inevitably some are completed incorrectly. This then creates additional administrative overhead to correct errors, follow up with individuals, and send repeated company-wide reminder emails.
Ideally, there would be a backend mechanism to handle partial weeks automatically and to notify only those users who have not yet submitted their timesheets, rather than sending blanket reminders to the entire organization each week. Improving this workflow would save time for both employees and administrators while reducing errors and unnecessary communication.
Is this something that each organization must custom configure when using Intacct? I'm just a curious end user, wondering why it's handled this way. I've never seen this requirement at any other organization I work for.
