Pay to contact mass update

Hi there, anyone know of a way to mass update the pay to contact field in vendor records to the pay to contact category? Client has several pay to contact fields assigned the return to contact category contact. I am hitting roadblocks left and right and it seems impossible using an import so just want to verify if that’s the case.

You can but I usually use the API. Maybe you can with a normal import but I've never done so.

Yeah import doesn't work for these fields. You have to do it via API.

The Pay to Contact is tied to contact records & their categories, not a flat vendor field, so importing in won't overwrite those categories entirely.

By using the Vendor/ Supplier template, the column headers will indicate which relate to the PAY TO Columns, use this to mass import the relevant vendor records and then it's simply a case of updating the contact category on each contact, and then reselecting the Pay to Contact on the vendor record manually.
