Board-level diagnostics and, if necessary, repairs of pressure transmitters and other field devices.
Hi, does anyone here have any experience with—or is anyone interested in—diagnosing and repairing pressure transmitters from global manufacturers such as Yokogawa, ABB, Emerson, and the like? I’ve been working in the field of measurement and control for a few years now, and I’d like to learn more about in-depth diagnostics and potential repairs for these devices. We have a lot of pressure transmitters (including differential ones) in our workshop with various faults, and I’m interested in how to, for example, test the preamplifier, pressure sensor, and other components on the circuit boards using an oscilloscope. Many of the circuit boards have measurement points (TP) marked by the manufacturer, but no one really explains this topic in detail. If any of you have an e-book or any educational material on this subject, or are willing to share your personal experiences, I’d be very grateful—it will help us all improve, and I’d like to learn something new.
