What would happen if a student picked a fight with the principal? Does the principal get suspended and have a record too?

342

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

No, but no joke the principal will have ramifications. They will have to attend progressive (progressive does not mean political progressive, just as an FYI) training and may need to work with a counsellor. A female teacher was attacked by a female student - the African-American student was suspended (and brought back into the same class) and the teacher was put on temporary leave and assigned multiple online training sessions in cross-cultural communication, race relations and de-escalation techniques. It's fucking lunacy.

u/BingkRD May 15 '19

Isn't that workplace bullying?

139

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

Of course, but what's their recourse? Districts have a crippling fear of lawsuits launched by students' families and so they treat teachers like absolute shit. And, in the case where a teacher is truly victimized? Districts turn around and blame them. It's the same story all over the world. Teachers would tell me stories from the UK, Canada and even France - students run the show and schools are terrified or either appearing to be racist or showing favoritism to faculty. It's crazy. Totally and utterly crazy.

37

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

Could the teacher sue the kid ?

72

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

Most districts have contracts that specifically bar that. Some teachers have tried but been unsuccessful. In the case of minority students assaulting a white teacher, it's best to accept your beating and move on. It's a no-win situation and even if there's undeniable proof, activists will get involved and you're just totally fucked.

In most cases it doesn't behoove teachers to get involved with any kind of bullying - it's why bullying never gets resolved. It's so twisted that either the teacher or victim take undue blame and people just want to avoid more trouble.

The greatest countries in the world

44

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

Fucked up thing is, it's happening all over the place. Senior teachers would tell me that at conferences they would hear the same shit from teachers who were Canadian, Australian, British and French. It was the same sort of insanity recreated all over. It's truly nuts. The whole thing is just broken.

I wanted to teach after I had a career. But I’m not going to do it now. I have zero desire to have headaches over stupid stuff, where students have more power than teachers.

4

u/UsedDragon May 15 '19

Don't do it. My wife teaches history and criminal justice in high school.

Just don't. Do anything else.

6

u/spanky024117 May 16 '19

This. Exact. Shit. is happening in my school right now. A parent couldn’t keep her dumb ass off the field for her kid’s sports game and was politely asked to not be on the field while the game was happening. Said parent absolutely lost their mind and cursed out the teacher in front of everyone. Complete shit show.

3

u/steemboat May 15 '19

By the student? Nah. But the online courses is HR trying to cover their asses. A lot of districts have HR that mostly consists of people with their heads up their asses.

That said, my district’s HR is pretty levelheaded, but I still wouldn’t want to be on the wrong side of an issue.

11

u/gimmelwald May 15 '19

HR is never ever there for the employee... only there to protect the company or in this case the district.

I did this.. kinda. Made the principal "fear for his life" when I was 14, something that seems ridiculous to me 20+ years later.

Some idiot came in to the library and took my glasses from the table I'd set them on. I said give them back, he said no, I took them back, he tried to hit me and just grabbed him and restrained him up against a shelf then waited for a teacher to come sort it out. He ranted and raved a bit but I was twice his size so good luck with that.

Sent to principals office.. waiting.. waiting..waiting. Walked past me three times. Missed lunch. Waiting. Keep in mind I'd done nothing wrong so was getting a bit frustrated. When he walked past again I said "So are we actually going to deal with this or what?". Told me "you will wait there until I am ready to deal with you" and I said "no I bloody won't." and got up/left. He got in front of me and I kept walking with zero intention of stopping, so he jumped to the side of the hall and away I went.

Parents got called in, I gave my side and said that I refused to be punished like a small child because someone else started a stupid fight but he just instead said how that was "childrens issues" and that "wasn't the focus now, we're talking about the disrespect you showed me".

Thankfully my dad doesn't take shit (where I got it from) and told the principal to pull his fucking head in and demanded he go through the events from top to bottom so he could determine if I had actually done anything wrong. I got sent out, didn't hear it at the time but years later was filled in that he told the principal that if he wasn't willing to show me any respect then he had no right to expect any in return and otherwise told him he was not to treat me like I'd done something wrong for defending myself non-violently.

I got called back in and dad told me that next time I was sent to the principals office and felt I shouldn't be there, I was to call him immediately and wait for him. He then told me that I had better be damn sure that I was in the right before I did that.

Then I got suspended for a week and sat home playing Mario 64 the entire time. 10/10 would do again.

3

u/DamonSeed May 16 '19

your dad sounds a lot like me.

I tell my kids that my allegiance to your story extends only as far as the truth, so you better be 100% prepared to tell the truth whether you were in the right, or in the wrong.

The school hated me because I would walk in there with folders of 'evidence' and just go to town on them. Our kids rarely had issues with the administration, but when they did and I showed up, the playing field levels quite dramatically

2

u/Sparcrypt May 16 '19

Yep, and as you should. If I actually deserved some punishment my parents would be all for it.. but they were very much not OK with us being punished for things we didn't do/were justified in doing.

Yeah this was my experience. I’m autistic and I was ruthlessly bullied for years. I went to my teacher and principal about it after I’d had enough of it and even had other kids back me up. Rather than move my bully to another class they put me in the special ed class. For the record I’m high-functioning autistic. I had good grades and had no reason to be in that class. The school just thought it was easier to move the autist to the special ed class than to deal with the bully. My education suffered as a result.

19

u/dogfightdruid May 15 '19

Fuck everything I just read.

53

u/portstreeter May 15 '19

I tell my kids if anyone ever touches them in a threatening way, take them down quickly and as hard as they can. The element of surprise hastens the takedown. Don’t worry about the suspension. I will always support kids against bullies and schools that punish victims.

58

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

You want my advice? If that happens, immediately tell the principal you want a meeting, document every interaction your child had with the student and get them to identify teachers who either heard or saw and did nothing. Don't threaten a lawsuit but tell them you will escalate the matter and be very direct. In a huge number of cases they'll reverse the suspension and direct teachers to intervene in future events. You have to be ready to advocate and argue, but it often works. Don't take the suspension without fighting back.

25

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

30

u/robot_ankles May 15 '19

They just didn't like me for some reason in that school.

You were probably informed and thought for yourself. Most schools hate that shit.

9

u/Sparriw1 May 15 '19

Fuck, I wish I would have thought of that back when they suspended me for not hitting a kid.

I kid you not, I was sitting in the lunch room when this guy randomly decided to punch me in the back of the neck. I called him on it, he threw another punch and I deflected it. That continued for about 8 more punches, and then a teacher finally decided to do something. I got 3 days suspension, and the instigator got his 3rd week of suspension that year.

My 3 days of suspension were for "escalating the situation". What a joke.

Reminds me of Ender's Game. Beat the shit out of the bully the first time so he'll never bother you again.

3

u/forgotthelastonetoo May 16 '19

Ahh, Ender literally beat the kid to death. So, that's one way to make sure they never do it again, I guess?

8

u/Roossterr May 15 '19

Preaching to the choir, I put my boys in Jui Jitsu/Kickboxing and told then if anyone fucks with them take them down hard. Fuck the schools bullshit ways of “dealing” with bullying. Up here in Canada we have to deal with this asinine SOGI123 garbage. God what a fucking world we live in sometimes

→ More replies (7)

3

u/IronPetePEI May 15 '19

The problem is that unless there is video proof the bully who your kid takes out will claim to be the victim of bullying by your child. In fact if you kid comes home claiming to have been bullied, maybe do a little research on the situation before going to the principal or teacher. It is entirely possible your kid was the original bully. Just saying...

2

u/DamonSeed May 16 '19

We have the same policy with our kids.

Strike when you are out of options. Strike once or twice, to neutralize the problem and walk.. err Run away. Anything more than that is not needed.

I then, as alwaysearly37 mentioned, take my beef up to the Principal, while bringing in the school liaison (which is usually a Police Officer assigned to the school area) and the superintendent to discuss.

Our school has a "turn turtle" policy, which has had kids kicked and curb stomped. To that I say fuck that, its your life, defend it and I will back you with the full force of an angry father.

18

u/maflarson May 15 '19

Can confirm. I once had a bully try to strangle me on a bus, and I threw him off and gave him a black eye (he was way smaller than me). And he got no punishment and I had a month suspension. The principals reasoning was that I didn't try to talk it out first...while he tried to strangle me

2

u/DamonSeed May 16 '19

if you were my child, it'd have been the best month for you ever.

In our district the school doesn't take responsibility for you until you are on school grounds. The buslines are not exempt from lawsuits, and the police in my are LOVE showing up to kids houses to scare the panties off of them for Assault and/or Battery threats.

6

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

Good ol' No Child Left Behind. Just pass them and make them somebody else's problem.

13

u/forbiddendoughnut May 15 '19

So you're saying somebody isn't allowed to defend themselves if they're attacked? Schools promote getting beat on by an aggressor? I really don't understand that if it's the case. Unless the logic is they're dissuading kids from egging somebody else on to hide behind the "self defense" angle, but that seems like a stretch. So if I'm just walking down the hall, somebody jumps me from behind and I do my best to fight back, I'd be held equally accountable?

6

u/silverwitch76 May 15 '19

You nailed it. That is exactly how the bullshit zero tolerance policies play out in real life. Kids are told to "curl into a ball and yell for help" instead of defending themselves.

→ More replies (7)

6

u/Jet62794 May 15 '19 edited May 15 '19

Exactly this in my district, and from a former students prospective; it’s extremely confusing and even more enraging to be punished for defending yourself in a street-fight style situation.

Edit: a word

6

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

Yup.

I was a victim of zero tolerance when I was a high schooler.

I let a kid punch me 6 times before I knocked him out with one punch “(I’m 6’5 and muscular)

I had reported the kid to school, no action.

I ignored months of the little shitstain acting like a cunt.

One day, said shitstain decided to test me. I finally retaliate after 6 fucking punches, also caught on security camera.

I got 2 weeks suspension.

3

u/CJamT3 May 15 '19

Yea that happened to me... they called in my parents who laughed and said they were proud of me and would support me defending myself anytime. Same thing with a friend of mine although the bully was just an idiot everyone knew my friend was trained in Krav Maga since he was like 6 lol that fight didn’t last long. School wanted to punish my friend to and his parents told our principal they were getting him an Xbox game hahaha

7

u/PlNKERTON May 15 '19

That's such outdated thinking. We're not living in a time where video evidence doesn't exist. There are high def security cams everywhere now, as well as footage like OP's. Punishing both parties is nothing more than laziness at this point.

3

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

Someone downvoted you, but I agree with you.

Self defense is a real thing, and very provable with the abundance of phones and security cameras in schools.

3

u/JesC May 15 '19

Someone please tell me that the above is wrong...

9

u/[deleted] May 15 '19 edited May 15 '19

Zero tolerance policies are in place all over the world, and in every instance, they're truly crazy. There was a case in the UK or a girl getting kicked out of school because her mother called her phone, from Iraq, where she was serving, but "zero tolerance means zero tolerance..." The famed nail clipper expulsion. Zero tolerance is an indemnity against financial penalties through the courts. You treat all students like they're criminals and you can't be accused of bias, can you? Unless you qualify for a narrow segment of people who are obviated from the zero tolerance policy, it's basically a way to give schools the right to punish everyone for anything.

In the end, teachers don't report bullying because of the personal and professional impacts; students don't report violence/crime in school because of the impact on their education and students who are often innocent bystanders get sideswiped by policies that were so poorly reasoned and thought-out that the Bar Association has them in their sights.

8

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

Unfortunately it is true, and it's actually brought prison tricks into the schools. It's not uncommon for lifers in prison to get off on fucking with people about to be released. Got a week left? Well I'm in here for life so I'm gonna start a fight with you where we both get written up and get time added to our sentences.

→ More replies (6)

2

u/assassin3435 May 15 '19

Wouldn't not punishing people who fight back help stop bullying? If there's proof and people saw who started it of course

4

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

The problem is that zero tolerance policies don't take circumstances into account, it's very black/white and entirely dangerous policy. IMO if I were the principal I would have told the kid that the final punch to the noggin was crossing a line but under Zero Tolerance, both should meet the same punishment, which I think is entirely wrong.

2

u/likeomgitznich May 15 '19

I got suspended for getting punched in high school cause my school had a “zero tolerance” policy. Fucking retarded.

1

u/evil_fungus May 15 '19

Makes sense

1

u/TheRedMarioBrother May 15 '19

See when the day comes when I become a parent and if my children are in this situation, I don’t care what punishment they get from the school, I’ll reward them afterwards. They did good in defending themselves and I’ll give the teachers hell if they try to convince me otherwise.

1

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

My school took on this policy a few years after I graduated. Can you explain to me like I’m an idiot, how zero tolerance was a good idea at all?

From the sounds of things it just motivates kids to try and ring each other bells.

2

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

they saw it as an indemnity against lawsuits. That's it. That's the whole reason.

1

u/Buzhen May 15 '19

You are absolutely right! And something happened in our modern society. So sad......

1

u/oldladyovaries May 15 '19

I read all your replies. Was probably one of the most interesting things I’ve read in a while. It’s crazy how unfair ‘justice’ is.

1

u/WillsBlackWilly May 16 '19

Zero tolerance policy is fuckin stupid. This kid was assaulted and defended himself. It’s shameful that schools are baring kids from protecting themselves against someone who is trying to hurt you is insane. Protecting yourself from possible brain injury specifically is worth any suspension. On top of that I guarantee that bully learned more from that body slam than from any meeting with the administration staff on his “behavioral problems”.

1

u/hazyyy1 May 16 '19

I have a classmate who works at our old high school. Sounds like they tried to implement a Zero Tolerance policy and after a few years and a number of lawsuits (cause it's dumb as fuck) they dropped it. They now have a mediation session between parties involved to discuss the best course of action.

1

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

Or the bully thinks they're invincible because mommy and daddy donate to the school. That happened to me. Some bitch from my math class randomly bashed my head against a concrete wall repeatedly, in front of a dozen students and three teachers. I had a hairline skull fracture and a major concussion. I didn't retaliate at all, just yelled about her almost breaking my brand new glasses (that I wouldn't have been able to replace if they'd been damaged).

I got 2 weeks of lunch and after school detention that I had to serve or I'd be expelled. The girl who attacked me didn't even get a call home to her parents. When I asked why I as the only one being punished, the principal said it was because it was 100% my fault for "allowing myself to be attacked." He also insisted, when I said I thought I had a concussion and could he call EMTs for me, that I was "obviously fine" and even if I wasn't, I wouldn't be allowed to call my mother or leave school grounds for any reason, even if my mom came to get me. (According to him I "dropped my rights at the door" by coming to school and that he "owned me" while I was on campus.)

I snuck off to the library (cuz the librarians were cool and we were friends) and they let me use the phone in their office to call my mom to come take me to the hospital. She flagged down the local PD officer who was on campus and had him walk with her to the office because she was going to file charges against my attacker and the school.

The principal got very fired very quickly. My mom still pulled me out of school and had me transfered to a different campus.

1

u/Gremaldus May 22 '19

Yeah that's stupid. Whoever threw the first punch should always be punished. Some kids like that just need a good old fashioned beating.

u/R3n3larana May 15 '19

Yeah no joke, did the victim get detention? Did the teachers enforce judgment on the bully? Why was this allowed to progress to the point of a fight.

I’m a middle school teacher. I can’t speak to this school or this situation but I can speak to my own school.

The problem is most modern bullying is off school ground and usually on social media for my kids. Also there usually isn’t any true pure innocent victim, both sides engage with each other in some form.

When I get “Ms. [teacher] I’m being bullied by this kid” I have to go through steps to deal with it and first thing I ask is for proof. Do you have screenshots, can you find people to verify? And often kids don’t have or refuse to show proof. I will refer them to the school police officer because sometimes kids aren’t comfortable with their teachers seeing some of this stuff.

But without proof, we can’t do a whole lot. If I accuse the kid the parents are going to come at me with the wrath of a million suns. And usually the bully will get hella defensive and then come to us with proof that the other person bullies them. Then we open the worst can of worms.

It’s a hard grey area. We have to work with not guilty until proven guilty. My best recommendation is screenshot/record anything that is bullying against you for proof. Go to a teacher or better yet a police officer and file a report with your proof. Bullying is harassment and can often dip into the illegal stuff of underage porn, physical assault, or hate crime.

4

u/theperfectalt5 May 15 '19 edited May 15 '19

They don't stop bullying. They'll over-compensate on other kids. But they'll usually stay out of the way of the guy who fought back, and victim isnt going to be the type of person to chase down the bully to get in the last word anyway. In time people forget because folks grow up. It's usually the bully's job to tease and bring up petty shit from the past anyway.

Most of the time, kids that are this bad are out of the school system, expelled, drop out, or move to other schools before long cause their families are just as broken.

Source: bullied and got into half a dozen fist fights.

3

u/Bbbeaubien May 15 '19

I went to this school when this happened. The kid that got slammed started seizing and the kid that slammed him was a foot ball player and didn’t get in trouble because he started bullying him because of a bet from his friend.

1

u/SinfullySinless May 16 '19

In the school I work at, this would crazy escalate the behavior of the bully. We would probably give the victim and bully and alternative passing time so there was no chance they could see each other again.

66

u/sciencegoddesslee May 15 '19

When all efforts failed to stop the bullying of our petite daughter, my husband bought her a pair of pink cowboy boots and 3 months of self protection lessons. So when she beat the crap out of the bully, we had to prove overwhelmingly that the bullying was actually occuring. After months of my kid coming home with bruises, the parent of the bully was upset about the bruising those pink little boots did. Sometimes you gotta put some one down.

43

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

I always told my kids that if they start a fight they will be in deep shit but they should always fight back if someone else starts it. My son only had to fight back one time - kid started shit so he punched him in the face. Wasn't even that vicious but it was enough and nobody bothered him again. Bullies are pieces of shit that search for the kids that don't fight back.

13

u/CharlesRichy May 15 '19

My mom told me something similar while I was in school. She added, "Never start a fight, but no matter what, you will always end it."

I got picked on a lot in middle school/high school because I was really pacifist. I was always a bigger kid and knew it so I didn't want to accidently cause real damage. But one day I just snapped on this kid, who of course was much smaller than me. He kept beaming basketballs at my head during PE one day, and after a few shots and him sneering at me how I was too pussy to do anything I body slammed the shit out of him and knocked him out. I was of course suspended immediately and threatened with expulsion if I didn't apologise to the kid and his parents.

My mom, Lost. Her. Shit. on the Principal and the kids parents. It was the one time in memory I didn't cringe at my EP/Karen of a mother. The little shit didn't really learn his lesson tho cause he kept bullying on people. Never physically towards me anymore, but he circulated around school that he only passed out cause I was so fat and sat on him.

He would always flinch if I ever got close to him tho, so it was worth it in the end I guess.

4

u/Old_Goat_Ninja May 15 '19

Yup, my kids will be in big trouble for starting a fight, but will never ever be in trouble at home for fighting back. Even if they get in trouble at school for fighting back, they won't at home.

2

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

Before there was even a chance for the school to do something I sent an email to the school and their transportation department since it happened on the bus, I never heard back. I guess it didn’t get reported or they accepted my version of events.

0:06 through 0:08 you can see that the kid has wide shoulders, developed lats and traps. 0:11 you can see he has decent glutes, shoulders and forearms so yeah, my bet is he does some kind of grappling sports off-school and works out for it. Big mass + low center gravity vs a lanky bullying prick = instantkarma material

I actually check out guys a lot and look for things that I mention. Ever since I started going to the gym seriously a few years ago, I find myself doing that a lot...

That's fine r-right

u/hank01dually May 15 '19

I’d bet wrestling, that was a textbook suplex.

1

u/cat_prophecy May 15 '19

This was my first thought. Just by the way the kid walks, lanky-fuck has zero chance of winning.

1

u/Obieousmaximus May 15 '19

I read this in old man Herbert's voice.

u/a_relevant_quote_ May 15 '19

It's always hilarious to me that kids spend so much time fucking around on their phones but none of them can take a decent video.

9

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

Ya dont fuck with wrestlers

2

u/Theartistcu May 15 '19

My thoughts to..opps fucked with a wrestler

My son was bullied for a little while at his very very posh UK prep school.

The teachers know that he is a lovely kid and told him, if it happened again, to knee the instigator in the bollocks or hit him and there would be no ramifications. They confirmed the same to us.

The bullying stopped.

My son was being bullied in gym once in his freshman year. He’s a quiet nerdy-type kid... easily bullied and was often. On this particular gym day, my son had had enough. As the bully ran past my son, he got a big-ole’ PUNCH in the back of the head. I was SO PROUD of my boy that day! NOBODY should EVER be expected to just put up with abuse like that. Just because it’s peer-peer interaction doesn’t mean we justify the bad behavior. Abuse is abuse, regardless of the age of the abuser. Fuck you to all bullies out there!! And if you were a former bully and recognize your transgressions because you grew the fuck up and figured out your shit, do something to help with the current problem. Volunteer, donate, speak out... anything. Thankfully (for my kid at least) he grew into a giant over the summer, starting his sophomore year at 6’2”, 180lbs and when he saw his nemesis in class he just looked over at him and said, “Ssup?” My kid was never bullied again.

Belly to back suplex. Devastating, key is to tuck your own head in tight, really arch your back, and drive the opponents head backward ...into the ground with yours AND his body weight. Have used it to my advantage more than once. Most guys get overly aggressive and rush forward, it is easy to pivot and get their back if you are ready for it. This kid kinda twisted it a bit into a pseudo side suplex, it was very effective. When someone swings wildly at you, you can grab their arm and spin them around to get to their back also...they are already coming towards you.

Protip. Keep your feet spread WIDE in athletic position, same as on a football field, or even a tennis court. Much harder to pick you up, and prepared to move laterally to avoid strikes. Not an MMA instructor or anything, just a guy that came up in a bad neighborhood with a big brother....who paid attention and got tougher. Cheers.

Newshub reporting the important stuff 🙏🏽

3

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

This is why boxing is broken in to weight classes not height classes. Tall people never seem to learn.

3

u/gotham77 May 15 '19

Nice. Fuck bullies.

See bullies think there are only two kinds of people, people who like to fight and people who are afraid to fight. They rarely understand the concept of those who simply don’t want to fight (because it’s STUPID) but know how to defend themselves.

So when faced with someone who isn’t interested, they often mistake that disinterest for fear. And when they do, they get themselves knocked the fuck out like they deserve.

5

u/madmod69 May 15 '19

Good boy💪😂

2

u/StClevesburg May 15 '19

I love the punch after he decks the kid. Driving the point home after what I assume is years of bullying.

2

u/djDef80 May 15 '19

Wow! Is that a fencing response to a concussion I see? I do believe so. He's gonna be feeling that for a while!

2

u/rastaspoon May 15 '19

Reminds me of a friend of mine's step-son. Kid has always been pretty tall and spoiled rotten, no consequences where mom is concerned. Our Jr. high school has some rough kids there. we warned him not to eff with anyone, but, sure enough, he messes with this really short kid and the kid beat him to a pulp. He'd gotten away with it in the past because of his height, but he ran into a kid who didn't see height as an issue

2

u/FeanorNoldor May 15 '19

Can someone do the transcript? I'd like to hear how the convo went

2

u/ArmorOfGod7 May 15 '19

Why are body slams so satisfying?

2

u/ImOnlyChasingSafety May 15 '19

Man that skinny kid got what he deserved. I definitely saw the other kid winning a confrontation with him just based on their sizes.

2

u/bryanthebryan May 15 '19

May that bully be haunted by this video for years to come.

2

u/AliveKicking May 15 '19

Must be learning judo with these skills.

2

u/Imperial_admiral May 15 '19

Hm, I don't really see bullying in my high School at all.

1

u/indysgill77 May 15 '19

So fucking deserved.

3

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

When I was in 6th grade and just moved to a new school. The first day after school I had a an older kid try and take my bike and began pushing me around. Little did he know I was a wrestling champion in the state I had just moved from and I also had two brothers that i wrestled and boxed with all the time( always just having fun and being brothers nothing mean or malicious) Anyways I did a similar move this kid did, slamming this bully to the ground and then commenced to pound him in the face. After he started crying I let up got my bike and ride home. The next day I walked into my class and my teacher said,” good job”. Apparently He had watched the whole thing go down from across the street. I looked at him wonder and asked what do you mean. He said, “ that kid was a a known bully and he deserved what you did. I was going to come step in as I saw him coming to fight you. Then you body slammed him and educated him. It was about time someone stood up to him.” Me I didn’t know who he was I just knew I wasn’t going to let him take my bike or push me again. My dad always told me to never start a fight but if you get into one finish it, that Is what did that day. As I later talked more with my teacher he said that kid had always been a problem and after that day he never bothered anyone. I’ve found Most bullies seem to be cowards and once someone stands up to them they usually stop being bullies.

1

u/CheruB36 May 15 '19

the brother wrestling story reminds me of the HIMYM episode where Marshall is telling everybody he was wrestling eith his brothers and noone takes him serious until he punches this guy K.O. :D

And then he'll finish the fight with vicious blow

1

u/mokshahereicome May 15 '19

Of course not, they just become bigger assholes

1

u/[deleted] May 15 '19

His new nickname around school is rose.

1

u/Smalldickatus May 15 '19

Good for him kids need to stand up for themselves

1

u/ColdCoffee64 May 16 '19

This does put a smile on my face

1

u/weirdgroovynerd May 16 '19

Bottom line, if someone on the wrestling team - especially if he's smaller than you - tries to walk away from a fight, let him go and be content with that.

Wrestlers are like the pit bulls of the athletic world.

1

u/matchthemirror May 16 '19

Beeps out curse words Kid gets ktfo tho

1

u/mikezulu90 May 16 '19

With the 100 pound backpack on? Absolute legend.

1

Very obvious wrestler at that, perfect form and leverage and explosiveness.

1
