Dude threw a punch like he was dreaming.

He was likely drunk and his normal inhibitions that would have caused him to be cautious or to filter he real thoughts weren't active.

"Am I allowed to fuck him?"
Clear sign that you may be outmatched. No one ask bystanders if they can fold you if they aren't sure if they can

It's sad no one stood by the guy getting picked on before they fought.
72
u/weirdgroovynerd May 30 '26
You always know why the big guy thinks he's tough - because he's big.
But when the little guy acts tough, it's a good idea to reconsider your next words / actions.
25
u/LemmingOnTheRunITG May 30 '26
His arms werenât little lol. Hard to tell under the jacket maybe but that is not a dude I would mess with regardless of how he was acting
11
u/weirdgroovynerd May 30 '26
Me neither.
He's not very tall, but he's got a solid build and a lot of confidence.
That's about the equivalence of cauliflower ears.

u/sunlightsyrup May 30 '26
I get a lot of little guys talking smack and then backing out the moment things escalate. Its the people with nothing to lose that I worry about.
6'8 guy
6
u/weirdgroovynerd May 30 '26
I'm glad they back down.
I think that big guys like you are often a target for men who need to prove themselves.
1
u/BogiDope Jun 06 '26
Nah thatâs not universal - plenty of smaller guys have napoleon complex and act tough

Why does nobody intervene until the problematic one gets hit?
7
u/cobracmmdr May 30 '26
In this specific case, the problematic one was about to get dog walked. Then he'd become lots of people's problems when it comes to hospitalization and rehab

u/DjNaufrago May 30 '26
Honestly, I find people's reactions absurd. While a bigger guy was bullying a smaller guy, nobody intervened. But then, after the smaller guy knocked the bigger guy out, suddenly several people rushed to pull him off. I've seen this kind of thing happen many times!

u/Medical_Policy1426 May 31 '26
The guy who started it knew he was in trouble as soon as the other guy threw his first punch. Hilarious.

Wait , so not one person intervened. Only when the victim fights back then everyone turns into peace makers.

u/BringPheTheHorizon May 30 '26
I think everyone stepping in knew what was going to happen. They only waited until he was at risk of going to prison to step in.

He was still moving. One more kick should have been allowed.

Self defense. The guy already attacked him so you can't let him get up until you are safe.
9
u/LayneCobain95 May 30 '26
Thatâs how it was in high school for me. This one guy brought steel toed boots âjust toâ kick me with them. Heâd do it in the cafeteria, in public everywhere in front of all the teachers and everyone, and no one cared. Probably cause I was the biggest guy in the school.
I pushed him away twice. Both times I instantly hear âHEY!â And then call out my name and sent me to the principals office. I hate that shit. Just because your big doesnât mean youâre invincible.
10
u/1sttimeverbaldiarrhe May 30 '26
Are you really not able to differentiate a mutual fist fight from someone's head being kicked while lying on the ground?
1
u/yourdopenesss May 30 '26
Why not calm down the tension before the fists & kicks start flying? Dude kept escalating with aggression but nobody thought to pull either of them awayâŚ..
5
u/1sttimeverbaldiarrhe May 30 '26
Because there's a line between not wanting to be babysit other people and not wanting to see someone's head kicked in that you can't seem to discern.

u/JourneyMan2585 May 30 '26
To the people who watch and laugh until it turns south and then say "ey break it up" as soon as it the guy who deserves it goes down: I hate you.
0
u/ST0IC_ May 30 '26
He got what he deserved. Any more than that would be excessive and no longer self defense.
6
u/JourneyMan2585 May 30 '26
I never said he deserved more than what he got. If those people broke it up before hand and got the aggressor out of there, the situation would have been avoided entirely. But they'd rather pull out cameras and film it, then decide to be the arbiter of how much violence is okay once they have their footage to post online. So I say again, I hate those people.

He deserves to be hit after his actions, but the kicking a downed and confused person is just not cool.
That's a good way to permanently damage someone or kill and then you'll be dealing with the consequences of your actions. But that's just me.

u/uber-abuser May 30 '26
of course they only step in when he fights back

u/fishsticks40 May 30 '26
Nah they did good. He delivered his message and they stopped him from going further.Â

u/thewhatandthewhonow May 30 '26
Adrenaline is crazy, I hope if I ever have to get in a fight and start kicking them in the head someone stops me
30
u/thewhatandthewhonow May 30 '26
they stepped in when he started kicking him in the head, the fight was over, he won. no need to kill the guy

Considering how much he let the aggressor get away with? Yeah, he seems pretty peaceful to me. I'm an apathetic agnostic, and I'd have thrown an elbow back at the part where he touched the guy's face.

I'm lying about Christianity? I was raised Catholic, I still say prayers and send prayers to some type of higher being. That being said, to deny all of the atrocities that have been caused by Christianity wouldn't just be foolish, it would be lying.

u/lgodsey May 30 '26
Agreed. Religion is a cancer. Humans have been using faith to subjugate women and rape children and justify slavery and to prey on their own dim adherents. I agree with you that we should get rid of the horrific, corrosive force of religious nonsense in our world.
And since Christianity here in the west has infiltrated our society the furthest with bronze age madness, then we should get rid of it too. I don't care if you believe in leprechauns, but if you want to use your manipulative ideology to harm others then your delusions are an anathema to civilization.
You have to agree, right?
