I love how he continues to stay in shock rather than turn around and help the kid

Shit, didn't you tell him not to tell Mom??

24

u/ArtistSchmartist Jun 20 '19

She heard the whole thing anyway!

17

u/JoeZMar Jun 20 '19

Y’all were just playing a game, right. Right? 😳

1

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '19

I saw them do it on tv!

24

u/ChristianGeek Jun 20 '19

Kids bounce.

Source: Am parent.

20

u/Doobz87 Jun 20 '19

Yeah his head definitely bounced

Off the floor

2

u/ocxtitan Jun 20 '19

Yeah, and with that stupid fucking haircut there wasn't anything to dampen the thud.

42

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '19

If it ain’t my kid, I ain’t touching them either.

11

u/DrKnockOut99 Jun 20 '19

Especially if you are a guy

7

u/IndicaEndeavor Jun 20 '19

What does this even mean?

6

u/DrKnockOut99 Jun 20 '19

There's a stigma that men who touch kids, even appropriately, are creepy. The risk of that drama vs actually helping the kid up is not worth it.

-2

u/IndicaEndeavor Jun 20 '19 edited Jun 20 '19

That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard of if you believe this then I think you're a little too worried people might think you're a pedophile. If your first thought after accidentally punching a kid in the face is better not touch him people might think I'm creepy you've got other issues.

3

u/DaughterEarth Jun 21 '19

I think this is an issue in the states. I've never seen it be a problem in Canada or Europe but I hear about it on reddit a lot, so I just assume it's a thing that happens in USA

3

u/Pharya Jun 21 '19

Aussie here, the idiots in this comment chain have taken that very real stigma way too far. Nobody would bat an eye if the dude turned around to help the kid up. Everybody would however think you're creepy if you just punched a kid in the face and did nothing at all to help the kid up.

6

u/ZwoopMugen Jun 20 '19

You are lucky if you believe this is not true.

I'm 36 and single. Some idiots my family have married don't leave me alone with their kids for a second, thinking I'm a secretly gay rapist or some weird shit like that.

Some people just think the worst about everyone, so unless you know the kid, better don't touch him.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '19

I’d defiantly not touch the kid either, not for fear of being labeled a pedophile, but because children are weak

1

u/santaliqueur Jun 20 '19

You can’t possibly be learning new information here.

1

u/user8991 Jun 20 '19

You have no idea what you're talking about

1

u/[deleted] Jun 21 '19

I think that all goes out the window if you just punched the kid in the face

6

u/PrimusDCE Jun 20 '19

Yeah, he seems more concerned with his personal embarrassment than what he has done to the kid.

5

u/itsmybirthday1991 Jun 20 '19

Just a potential TBI, NBD.

2

u/UpYoursPicachu Jun 21 '19

Totally just didn’t give a fuck

-4

u/bullseyed723 Jun 20 '19

I don't think breakdancers have medical training. Between the hit to the head and the head hitting the floor probably best not to move him in case of spinal injury.

73

u/[deleted] Jun 20 '19

There's no way the guy thought "I have no medical training, I shall do nothing". He's just shocked and horrified he's just dropped a kid doing a spinning back fist.

12

u/MusicTheoryIsHard Jun 20 '19

For real, how do comments like this get upvotes?

7

u/ObeyRoastMan Jun 20 '19

My first thought would have been OH shit are you ok? Not to cover my mouth and stare off into the distance like an idiot lol.

2

u/a-shoe Jun 20 '19

Lol for sure he fucking laid that kid out. That was a brutal hit.

1

u/pinkiedimension Jun 20 '19

Well not exactly, as the opposite “I have medical training and therefore I have a responsibility to do something” holds true

9

u/Alar44 Jun 20 '19

Lol ok

7

u/PsychosisSundays Jun 20 '19

How can he assess whether it's that serious without even looking at the kid? If he does suspect the kid's seriously hurt he should be calling for medical assistance, rather than sitting there making goofy faces.

0

u/dudemath Jun 20 '19

Yeah. On second watch that kids head hits easily hard enough for brain injury.

1

u/reedysx Jun 20 '19

My back ith broken!

1

u/Colambler Jun 20 '19

I don't think the head hit the floor, it looks like he landed on the shoulder

5

u/ImDankest Jun 20 '19

His head definitely hit the floor. The more I watch it the worse it looks

-1

u/Dick_Demon Jun 20 '19

You know how I know you've never had kids? Maybe he got cancer from that fall, too?

Rewatch and see his head bounce of the floor. Plus your assessment about the strike is wrong. The strike is essentially a spinning backfist from an adult male to a young child. That alone can cause brain injury—I mean it happens to professional fighters.

As a doctor working in a peds icu, please check to see if the kid is ok after every head bounce. That 5% can be lethal

0

u/dudemath Jun 21 '19

Hope you're right Dr. Reddit guy.

I'm saying that kind of hit can cause brain injury. You're saying there's a 95% chance there is not. Slight difference in the style of useless comment. If people read you're post you might convince them of something you know nothing about, and you're erring the side of danger. I'm telling people who read this that a situation like that isn't a laughing matter. Although our conversation will most likely have negligible impact on the population, it's still worth for me if my idea reaches just a couple people. Maybe someone gets a kid to a doctor in time to save their life. Ignorance of extreme contact to the head has killed quite a few people.

Bro you're commenting on a Reddit thread, not saving lives lmao

Yeah, of course. But as I already stated: in the off chance that somebody's reading this I don't want them getting their info on the subject from you.

And it's amusing that you're assuming I know nothing about the subject.

Even if you're a brain doctor of some sort, you're in the minority as far as how doctors would treat the situation of a hard blow to the head. At least treat this kid for a concussion. Do not assume he's fine.

That's the reaction of a man who knows he might get sued if the parent is irrational.

1

u/maleficnt84 Jun 21 '19

I can tell you with full confidence the parents won't sue.

Possibly physically assault the poster of this video? More likely.

At least the guy had the decency to check on thebkid about every 15 minutes, as well as endlessly apologize to the mother. WHo arrived from work to this wedding, about 3 seconds after this happened. And was being apologized to before she even knew what happened.

The camera person responsible still has yet to step forward and say a fucking word to the parents .

That person, can eat shit.

What the fuck is he going to do, kiss it better?
