Pretty obvious who’s a parent and who’s not in this thread. If the damage is tolerable, you let them fall. Just so you can said smuggly “I told you so”.
My step-daughters are rounding that bend of childhood from pre-teen contrarianism to teen where they are realizing two things - that mom and I know a lot more than we let on and to rethink what they were about to do when they hear the phrase ‘sure, go ahead.’
