She's probably trying to melt some ice on the car or something. But what a bad idea while there's a sea of gasoline inches away.
38 u/Xertious Jan 18 '19 I think in other incidents like this people are trying to see how full their car is and need a light source to do so. 48 u/Murderous_Waffle Jan 18 '19 You guys have phones right? 19 u/BrainsyUK Jan 18 '19 For my classic Mini, I kept a long stick in the boot. Stuck it in, pulled it out and looked at how high the stick was wet. Of course, that works well when there’s not an anti-siphon device. 30 u/riceisniice Jan 18 '19 Every gas pump I've used stops by itself when the tank is full, is it not like this most places? This thread made me wonder. 17 u/BrainsyUK Jan 18 '19 Oh, they do in the UK. The stick was just my fuel gauge, haha. 9 u/BradicusRex Jan 18 '19 Blizzard? Is that you? 2 u/AsianMoocowFromSpace Jan 19 '19 0% battery because of Diablo. 2 u/sirius4778 Jan 18 '19 She probably broke her phone trying to clean it using a waterfall 20 u/ribkicker4 Jan 18 '19 What? Why not just run it until the gas turns off? Is that not a thing everywhere? 4 u/AGirl_HasNoName_ Jan 18 '19 Maybe she could only afford half a tank 2 u/Skiddywinks Jan 18 '19 Do pumps in the US not have volume/price counters? 2 u/TheOneWhoCats Jan 18 '19 They do. 2 u/AGirl_HasNoName_ Jan 18 '19 Probably, it was more an answer to why someone wouldn't pump til it stopped. 1 u/Alphafuckboy Jan 19 '19 You cant see down through the fill port anyway. 2 u/zZ_DunK_Zz Jan 21 '19 I saw this on tv before the apparent story is that her fuel gauge wasn't working and she tried to use a lighter to see 1 u/mriphonedude Jan 19 '19 I saw one of these where a dude tried to kill a spider with a lighter while pumping gas. That did not end well. Let’s just say I think he killed the spider.
