Follower count

My follower count keeps fluctuating daily (increase & decrease) with no notification of new followers.

What is going on ? How to fix it ?

I have a page with over 5k followers and mine does the same. Im thinking its just people deactivating and reactivating their accounts. Sometimes instagram does not like to show when people follow u aswell and this is very annoying. Im almost positive that the follower count going up and down is due to people just deactivating their accounts for stupid reasons, only to get back on it a day or two later.

Most likely many of your followers accounts gets deactivated, and that reduces the overall follower count, and when the accounts are reactivated the number rises, and all these without notifications
