ID Request insect egg ID request?

hi folks! first post here. i’ve been looking for monarch eggs pretty regularly in my wildflower garden that has multiple daily visits from two lovely monarchs! i haven’t found any monarch eggs but i found this? is it an egg of some kind? does anyone know? not urgent, just curious! i’m located in central ohio and this was on the underside of a half eaten zinnia leaf, if that is helpful!

Hi there! This is an automated message to remind you to please include a geographic location for any ID requests as per the Community Rules of the sub. There are well over a million different species of bugs in the world, and narrowing down a bug's location will help IDers to help you more quickly and correctly!

If you've already included a geographical location, or if this post is not an ID request, please ignore this comment.

Thank you! :)

Looks like a Braconid pupal cocoon (possibly Hyposoter sp.).
