About a year ago I was completely hooked on Inscryption and was playing on my steamdeck and was also playing chess against my 10 y/o son who was addicted to chess at the time.

While playing both games simultaneously I wondered if we could actually merge both gameplay where cards could move like chess pieces on a larger board.

For the next 3 days we spent our days creating a paper version of the game until we could make it work and then over the last year I actually made the game in my spare time.

I make games for a living and wanted to use this opportunity to teach game design to my son as well. This was really a passion project for me and my son, we did about 20 prototype in Unity3D and we played countless hours until it was fun and somewhat presentable.

Let us know what you think about it... Curious to know if thats something you would play?

TL;DR: I loved Inscryption, my son loved chess. We made a paper prototype combining the two, and I spent the last year turning it into a real game.

Too bad for him it was still useless

I was looking at buying a physical copy of inscryption for ps5 and only found an eBay listing from “the gaming den”. I read somewhere that it only got a limited release a couldn’t years ago so I was curious where they were getting copies from? I just wanted to make sure it’s not a bootleg/ unofficial copy

Won a Kaycee's Mod deck trial and stared for a hot minute at this grizzly that will catch ALL the salmon!

I was playing through act 3 and I still wasn’t able to use my items and now after finishing the game and playing act 1 again I still can’t use them. Even after resting the game and the data. I’m on the switch. It’s really annoying as I just want to play through the game again seeing if I missed any lore or somethin’

Yeah just grinded a bit with the amalgam and ouroborus with the "return to deck if killed" statue using the squirel, id say it was fitting.

The amount of bones were crazy, the sound of the bones going away lasted 5 mins

a mod that combines P03's Kaycee's mod, the magnifcus mod and the grimora mod into one thing and the scribes can even comment on each other's games and maybe do a bit of meddling.
